DCFNE in the News: Strangulation
With Washington DC on the brink of passing legislation that would classify strangulation as a felony, our Executive Director spoke to NPR about the importance of medical forensic exams and education for patients who have experienced this form of assault.
In every medical forensic exam completed by DCFNE, patients are assessed for signs and symptoms of strangulation and taught about the impact of violence on their health.
