ABOUT THE EPISODE: This week on the podcast we have Erin Pollitt, RN, BSN, MHA. Erin started her nursing career in the emergency room (ER). And like many other forensic nurses, this is where she was first introducted into the forensic nursing world.

She started out as a sexual assault nurse examiner and then worked her way up! She is now the Executive Director for the DC Forensic Nurse Examiners (DCFNE). DCFNE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing patient-centered forensic nursing care to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.

Erin tells us exactly what she does and tells how her program operates.
